Prepare the planting area
 Soil Preparation
- Remove all debris, stone etc.
- Till soil to depth of 3-8 inches, bring to rough grade.
- Obtain the proper surface drainage by moving soil to the desired contours.
- It is desirable to have 3-8 inches of topsoil.
CAUTION: Working soils containing excessive moisture, especially with heavy equipment, will destroy desirable soil physical conditions and may result in poor rooting of the sod.
